DEMOnCRApCY
DEMOnCRApCY
Every human being is unique and I don't believe you can sum up a population of Millions of humans into 2 or 3 party choices. Because when you do, human beings look for the easiest, often LOWEST common denominator like tribe, colour, gender and single issues etc to continue the self perpetuating collective madness that is democracy!
Wow I can't believe Jacob Zuma won!!! Joking of course... every douché and his dog knew he would!!! He had about the same chance of loosing as Obama/Biden did to McCain/Palin... This got me thinking about this thing we call "Democracy".
In November I was in Zimbabwe at my parents home, just about the time of the frenzied U.S.A erections (yes I know its spelt e"L"ections but I'm shona and we don't do "L's" in shona... ) I remember my folks staying up all night waiting for the results and when CNN called it for OBAMA my Mom & Dad went crazy!! Ululating, jumping for joy and doing the infamous "kukongonya-buttock-wobbling" dance (as so eloquently put by my fellow wezim yet-to-blogger!! Shout out my favourite Rhodie Conor Welsh).
What I found ironic was that on "paper", my parents are conservative Christians (infact my Dad the right Rev. Dr. Musasiwa is a Baptist minister). They are Anti-Abortion, Anti-Liberal, Anti-Gay, Anti-Evolution Creationists. They believe that God needs to be a central part of Government, Family values etc etc. In other words my Parents would be Republicans if they where born in the USA. It surprised me just how much they hated Bush (who agrees with them on many fundamentals).
Why did they, and most conservative Africans, NOT have a problem with Obama's liberal views? The fact that he is pro-"choice" aka Pro-Abortion... Pro-Gay marriage, pro-Science aka pro-evolution etc etc etc. The day they saw a black man about to take the reigns in a white man's land, the cheered and supported mindlessly despite ignoring the candidates who would be more closely aligned with their beliefs. Their support for Obama would therefore have to be purely on racial and "supporting the underdog" lines. Mccain/Palin was definitely THEIR candidate... Sorry for the digression but was trying to make a point... what was it again??... Oh...
Did the majority of our brethen in RSA vote for the best candidate or like most of the world, did they vote for their populist choice regardless of substance. They voted because of the ANC and its history. They voted because they NEVER want to go back to white "oppression". That's all very understandable. BUT!!! We now have the leader of one of the most stable African countries who believes taking a shower after a shag "protects you from HIV". DAMN!!! LMFAO!! (lets ignore the rape charges and corruption charges... what's a few crimes amongst friends huh??)

SIDE NOTE 1: Damn... just saw that 27,000,000 people voted AGAINST Obama... Touché!
SIDE NOTE 2: I purposely added the "N" & "P" in the title as a play of words on "Demon" & "Crap" for all you "standard-six-uneducated-economic-asylum-seeking-care-worker" types out there!! Shout out MDC UK!!!
SIDE NOTE 3: Also used E"r"ection instead of E"l"ection coz whichever way, a lot of the populous get f***ed on that day!
SIDE NOTE 4: Heard sex in the pool works as contraception!! Try it kids! Zuma knows best!
